Hunger Games
The Hunger Games title sequence portrayed what the movie stands for, a fever dream of despair. You first see the capital where everyone is dressed in colorful outfits all festive and stunning and then suddenly it cuts to the complete opposite of that, everything is dark and full of shadows. The whole scene then builds to the iconic Mockingjay Symbol, the entire movie is surrounded but this symbol which is a sign of rebellion which gives the viewers goosebumps.
Avengers End Game
The title sequence of this film reflects the films themes of loss and hope. The music is changed, it reflects the sadness that was evoked from the previous film. The names of fallen hero’s are portrayed as dust which is a visual effect of the absence. Then, it shows the hope. A sprout is shown a signal of hope to viewers signaling a possible redemption. That’s when “Endgame” appears on the screen setting a climatic moment in the opening.
Top Gun
The title sequence in Top Gun is thrilling reflecting the high action movie that is awaiting to start. The title is filled with a bunch of dynamic camera angles and intriguing close ups and it perfectly captures the intense speed, excitement and danger that the movie represents. The title sequence shoots you right into the world of fighter pilots and the world of Top Gun.
