Lighting

 Hello blog! In our film, we decided to use mainly low key lighting and practical/ambient lighting. We chose this as it fits the atmosphere of our film and our goal was to have a dark environment with jut enough light to see the scene. We achieved this by filming in a dark location with enough light to portray what is going on. In addition, in the outdoor scenes, we used natural lighting from the outside environment. This light came from light-posts, lamps, the moon etc.

We were inspired by films such as Batman and other superhero movies which also use these lighting techniques to evoke a mysterious and suspenseful mood. However, since we are on a budget, we had to improvise and replicate portions of the low key lighting and ambient lighting to a minimal degree by using items such as phone flashlights and the lighting from the park.
