Costuming

 

Hello Blog! Today I will describe each character's costume that our group decided on. Each group member chose each costume to mask the character's personality and used clothing items and props which we all had at home.

Boxerman: White tank top with a red cape and red boxing gloves. This is his superhero costume and is specifically tailored to his boxing superpower and superhuman strength.

Brutus: Brutus would be wearing a black button down, black dress-pants, black shades, and ski mask. This is to evoke a mysterious and powerful character with the specific use of black monotone colors. 

Brutus' Henchman: White long sleeve button down and black dress-pants. He will specifically wear business casual formal wear to show his power and authority and his commitment to Brutus. 

Kung-Fu Kid: Bandaged hand from injury, nerf gun and a bucket. He will also wear a blue hoodie and blue jeans. This costume was chosen specifically to emphasize the fact that Kung Fu Kid is a teenager and enhances the irony since his hand is bandaged therefore he can't do Kung Fu. He also carries a bucket and nerf gun to add comedic effect. Another ironic portion of the costume is his karate belt, since he does not know karate.
