Transitions

Hello blog, today I will display three different types of transitions. Each transition needed at least 2 clips. I used CapCut on my Iphone to edit these transitions.

Jump Cut

This shot uses several jump cuts to show the progression of time over a short period of time of the Rubix cube being solved. The filming and editing was very simple since I just needed to get the Rubix cube in frame and put the clips in sequential order in CapCut.

Cross Cut

This shot uses several cross cuts to add suspense to the shot. Editing this was more complicated than I expected because in order to evoke the level of suspense intended, I needed to speed up the pace exponentially throughout the shot. In CapCut, I had to lay out the clips in my intended order then time the cuts to match the previous ones.

Fade to Black

This shot uses only two clips to show the money changing from only one dollar to a lot more. I also used CapCut for this transition. This transition was the hardest to get right as the preset in CapCut did not put spotlight on the fade to black as intended. The fade is visible but not black for as long as I wanted it to be.
